The Pipe Band will be playing at the ground breaking ceremony for the new high rise fire simulator donated by the Leary Firefighters Foundation. This event will take place at the Rock at Building 1.

The band has been asked to march up the Canyon of Heroes to celebrate the New York Giants Superbowl Victory over the Undefeated (past tense) New England Patriots. For more info go the Official NYC Web Site

The band will be playing at a plaque dedication ceremony after the races. Come join us in the lodge after a cold day of skiing.

The pipe band will be playing at the funeral for Retired Staten Island Boro Command Chief Haring. The Funeral mass is being held at The Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church
located at 30 Manor road in Staten Island, NY ( corner of Forrest ave
and Manor road).

The pipe band will be playing at the funeral for Captain Jaeger of Ladder 117, Captain Jaeger was currently an active member of the department when his untimely death occured. The Mass will take place at St Patrick's R.C. Church of Smithtown 280 E. Main Street Smithtown, NY 11787

Members of the band will be flying to New Orleans to take part in the christening of the new Marine transport ship, the USS New York. Part of this ship was created using steel from the fallen World Trade Center towers. For more information on this event please click here

About the FDNY Foundation

The FDNY Foundation is the official not-for-profit organization of the New York
City Fire Department. The mission of the Foundation is to assist the
FDNY and EMS in educating, informing and involving the public in
protecting life and property, and support the Department’s operational
enhancements.

The Foundation raises money for programs through government grants,
corporate gifts, foundations and individual donors like you. This
fundraising helps the Department maintain the tradition of excellence
that is recognized throughout the world as setting the standard in fire
suppression, pre hospital medical care and emergency response.

We raise money for the Department’s fire safety programs to continue
educating the public to take preventative measures to protect
themselves from serious injury or fatality in the event of fire,
medical emergencies, homeland security risks and other threats to life
and liberty.

The Foundation also provides grants for expanded training programs, the
purchase of equipment and investments in state of the art technology to
assist the Department in reducing injuries and fatalities.

FDNY FOUNDATION

The Pipe Band will be Marching in the Savannah, GA parade this year, which steps off at 10:15 am. It is not very often we get the chance to do this, as our parades usually fall on the same day.

The Pipe band has decided to pull a tri-fecta and we will be marching in the Throggs Neck parade to lead the Bronx Brothers up Tremont Ave. We'll see ya there!!

The band will be playing at this race to support the members of the FDNY while they run the loop in Central Park.

This is a 5-mile race. Start on East Drive at 67th Street and run
around the northern loop of the park to West Drive. Continue on West
Drive to the 72nd Street Transverse. Turn left to finish located on the
72nd Street Transverse.

The Grade IV competition band will be competing at these games. This is our first outing of the 2008 competition season and we are looking to keep up our winning streak. The band was successful in last years games and we have a roster that promises to keep that going. See you there!!

The FDNY Pipes and Drums will be playing at the special olympics being held at Riverside Park in Manhattan at 145th and Riverside Drive. It is always a privilege for the band to be able to play at this event to honor these fabulous athletes.

The FDNY Pipes and Drums will be playing at city hall to honor the bravery of our brothers who will be receiving medal for their acts of heroism. We will be playing at the coalitions through out the day as well.

The FDNY Pipe Band will be playing at the "Rock" on family day for the Probationary Firefighters. This is a day when the Probies get to show off their new skills to their family members. 

The FDNY Pipes and Drums will be playing at the blessing of the FDNY Marine Fleet at Pier 17 at the South Street Seaport. All the FDNY's boats sail by at the chaplains bless them for another safe year on the waterways of NYC and the Atlantic Ocean. It is a nice show to view.

The FDNY Pipes and Drums will be playing at this plaque dedication for Fireman Danny Pujdak who made the supreme sacrifice last June when he fell from the roof of a building that they were operating at. More more info on Danny and his story click here.
